You are not poor but too wealthy

Have you ever felt like you have nothing to offer the world? Like your pockets are empty and your hands are bare? In a world that often equates wealth with material possessions, it's easy to fall into this trap. But what if I told you that true wealth lies not in what you own, but in what you can give?

This profound lesson is beautifully illustrated in a timeless story about a poor man and a wise guru. Burdened by his poverty, the man approached the guru, lamenting, "Guruji, I am so poor that I have nothing to give to others. I can only hope that others will be kind to me."

The guru, with a gentle smile, replied, "Who says you have nothing to give?"

The poor man, confused, stammered, "But guruji, what do I have?"

The guru's eyes twinkled with wisdom. "You have a beautiful tongue," he said, "to speak kind words that can uplift others. You have sight to see those who need help and show them the way. You have a healthy body, strong enough to serve and assist others."

The poor man's eyes widened in realization. He had never considered these things as forms of wealth. The guru continued, "If you are only considering material things as richness, then you are on the wrong path. True wealth lies in the ability to give, to serve, and to spread kindness."

The guru's words resonate deeply. Kindness is a universal currency, understood and appreciated by all. It doesn't require a bulging wallet or a fancy title. A simple smile, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement can make a world of difference in someone's life.

The story of the poor man and the guru is a powerful reminder that we all have something to offer. Let us challenge the conventional definition of wealth and embrace the true riches that lie within us – the capacity for kindness, compassion, and service.
